nuts'n bolts overview

This collection has been designed as a simple, robust parts library to satisfy the needs of engineers and designers. Forty-two different items in more than 1,800 configurations cater for almost every imaginable need. The parts have been modelled accurately and efficiently to reduce polygon count and speed regeneration and display.

The SmartMates system within SolidWorks 99 has been implemented, allowing the automatic creation of concentric and coincident mate-relationships. This is the easiest and fastest way to insert parts in any CAD package.

Inserting fasteners into assemblies is invaluable as it provides a constant status of the componentry. The parts show up correctly on the parts-list (BOM) avoiding costly mistakes and errors.
